where to bathe in the sun

Fisherman’s Wharf

The most visited place in all of San Francisco. There is something for just about everyone.

Garfield Park Conservatory

Two acres of garden and reportedly one of the largest ones under glass in the whole world. Best to drive there or go by cab.

Piedmont Park

Since the city officially purchased it in 1904, Piedmont Park has been Atlanta’s most popular pastoral retreat. This historic stretch of green located northeast of downtown Atlanta is known for its lush treetops and scenic grounds. Paved pathways throughout the park are perfect for ambling along, and scattered benches beckon strollers. The sprawling 186 acre park encompasses the 11.5 Clara Meer Lake, where wildlife has taken up residence and also includes a dog park. This is the ultimate repose from the city’s quotidian hustle and bustle.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens celebrates the splendor of Italian Renaissance architecture and art. Situated on Biscayne Bay, this National Historic Landmark is open daily and owned by Miami-Dade  County. Surrounded by gardens that are green, lush, and impeccably maintained, the elegant and opulent estate is best represented by the decadently designed main house, which features 34 authetically furnished rooms adorned with antique art and accents that span 2,000 years. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens offers a peaceful repose from the hustle and bustle of Miami.
