Salsa and Cigar Bars at the Havana Club

As one of a handful of clubs that made Buckhead trendy in its party heyday, the Havana Club, which opened in 1996 and closed in 2007, re-emerged back in December 2009 and hasn’t missed a beat.

Picture 11Bigger and better with 15,000 square feet, the Havana Club literally has room and vibes to spare. Top 40 is the primary music of choice for Stage, the club’s spacious main area. On Saturday nights, a live band actually performs karaoke style before a DJ swoops in to spin the latest hits. Wood, stone, tropical elements (a la trees ascending towards the ceiling) all contribute to the ambiance.

The numerous bars make getting inebriated very easy, but bottle service is alive and well at the cabanas for those who absolutely must have the VIP experience. Private rooms, equipped with bars and live entertainment space, are great for exclusive events. If that isn’t classy enough, you can get into the Havana spirit even deeper with the first class cigar bar.

Insider’s Tip: Staying true to its Havana moniker, the Studio area specializes in pulsating Latin sounds. Arrive early on the weekend to enjoy free salsa and merengue lessons.
