Ivan Kane’s Cafe Was is Hollywood’s Bohemian Bistro

Where Bohemian Chic meets Old Hollywood, Ivan Kane’s Café Was brings a whole new meaning to Los Angeles nightlife. Thanks to a vintage Las Vegas sign that reads “Always Open” with only three flickering letters (W-A-S), the café came to be and was forever inspired by classic and quirky innovations. The café offers lunch and dinner, but most people will tell you to stop by Forty Deuce Fridays, where you can experience a good meal with a great burlesque show. If you can’t make it out on a Friday, Saturdays aren’t too bad either. Offering a jazz quartet and unbelievable vibe, the weekends are definitely worth waiting for when it comes to this café.

If you are thinking about experiencing Café Was for yourself, make sure to check and see if any private events are being held. Aside from being a great nightlife getaway, the café is known for holding private events and parties for those who reserve the space.

After a night at Ivan Kane’s, it might be hard to admit that the café was anything but amazing.
