This Santa Monica bar, known as the perfect place to watch a sporting event or to get drinks with friends, has become a favorite for those looking to venture out on the weekends while avoiding long lines and cover charges.

The bar is filled with high wooden tables and chairs and even offers bar goers a chance to play pool in the back. Their outdoor patio in front is popular during the summertime as well as the private room in the back that can be rented for parties and other occasions.

The great thing about South are the deals that they are always offering and alternating all year long. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays remain their most popular nights due to occasions such as Recession Thursdays featuring $1 grilled cheeses and mystery shots as well as South of the Border Sundays with $20 pitchers of Sangria or Corona.
