Picture 16The Sweet Auburn Springfest 2010 is the largest street festival in the Southeast and is expected to attract as many at 500,000 attendees this year. It’s a celebration of Auburn Avenue, the street that links the Martin Luther King National Historical site and the Center for Civil and Human Rights.

The Sweet Auburn Spring Festival celebrates all cultures and features art, food and music from all over the South, even the world, but the entertainment aspect can’t be overlooked. Every year Springfest features up and coming artists from the greater Atlanta area, including Macon, Augusta and Chattanooga. Throughout the years, Springfest has helped non-established acts find their way to stardom. Former performers include, Usher Raymond, India Irie, Raven Symone and Outkast.
