The New Dream Hotel

The Dream Hotel recently opened its glamorous doors Downtown. The project which took almost five years to complete, and around $280 million had to rise to the standards of the already established places located in close proximity: The Standard and The Gansevoort. But The Dream certainly proves to be a threatening competitor. Last week, I had the privilege to go on a private tour of the entire space, and I was pleasantly surprised, so I'm going to share part of the experience. While walking in the Meatpacking District where it is located, I had no troubles spotting the hotel. The modern architecture is truly unique, entirely made of metal with round windows, and glass doors. Once you step in their shinny lobby, you will immediately feel transported into a futuristic world. Chandeliers, walls entirely made of glass, and the high-end furniture blend in together, creating a superb, modern space.

If you are only visiting the hotel, you can either grab a bite in their restaurant downstairs, or dip into their glass-bottom pool. But if you are too shy to go in for a swim - in fact the glass bottom of the pool is the ceiling of the lobby, just get a ten on their improvised sand. Great opportunity to show off that bikini body. But now let's talk about my absolute favorite part of the hotel - the stunning PH bar. Located on the top floor, the bar offers amazing views of the city, a modern decor, fun cocktails, and NYC's best crowd. Even though the bar is meant to be simply an amenity for the hotel's guests, their parties are populated by a melting pot of socialites, celebrities, financiers, mixed in with the fashion world and the more creative types. So, yes, this is the new hot spot in town, and it is not just a 'Dream'.

The 16th floor of the hotel Ink48 offers a spectacular surprise: a glamorous bar with unbelievable Manhattan and Hudson River views. The lounge is glass-enclosed for a full visual experience of the city, and they also have an enormous deck with outdoor seating, and comfy chairs. You can pick from a variety of wines, crafted cocktails, and delicious nibbles. The crowd is mixed: hotel guests, business men, plus hip and fun New Yorkers. So forget about the Empire State Building, I can assure you that New York City can’t look any better than from the top of the classy Ink48 Hotel. Ink 48 is located at 653 Eleven avenue.

Bottle Service Then Brunch At Libation

New York City is full of hot nightclubs, but not many can brag about a great brunch as well.  Libation, however, is one that can.  It’s a stylish restaurant and lounge in the evening, an out of control three floor playground set to hip-hop and DJ mash-ups at night, and the next see-and-be-seen brunch spot on Sunday afternoons. But to do it all and to do it well is the impressive part.Picture 48 With three bars and two DJ booths on three floors, Libation is a veritable nightclub.  The dancing gets pumping at around eleven and bottle service is available all night on the balcony.  DJs fly in from Las Vegas and California to spin the latest tracks and bartenders mix specialty drinks such as the Libation Lemonade: fresh blueberries and blackberries muddled with fresh squeezed lemon juice, sugar and Stoli Bluberi Vodka. After a long night of dancing and drinking, come back to nurse your hangover away with the Texas French Toast.  It comes with bananas, walnuts, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, and-most importantly-unlimited Mimosas and Bloody Marys.  Brunch reservations are a must for Sunday, but planning ahead for a Libation double-header is worth it, because haven’t you always wondered what a nightclub would be like in the day?
