December 11th and 12th is your chance to tour Chicago’s oldest house all decked out and lit up with authentic decorations of the 1830s and the 1840s. The Clarke house (built in 1836) and the Glessner house will feature holiday displays from the 19th century and even a live Christmas tree shipped from the Glessner’s former summer estate in New Hampshire, decorated with vintage glass and paper ornaments.
