100 Years of Colorado Art is the culmination of a longtime dream for Kirkland Museum Collection Director & Curator Hugh Grant. Seeing as Colorado is ranked highly for art among the 50 states, Grant is showcasing the state’s talent from 1875 through to today (so, yes, technically it’s over 100 years of Colorado Art.)
The exhibit showcases 350 different Colorado artists with techniques as diverse as Colorado’s history. You can find surrealism, impressionist, and pure abstraction as well as drawings, lithographs, etching, engravings, woodcuts, and more. 100 Years of Colorado Art is a great celebration of Colorado Art- with a celebration reception kicking off the exhibit on January 21st.
