Wild abstract expressionist Arshile Gorky’s paintings are headed to Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) this June. Gorky’s paintings, which have been lauded as having a style and sense of color comparable to Picasso, are gritty and chaotic, and this retrospective is perfect for starting up deep conversations about pain and heartbreak, especially since Gorky died of suicide at a young age. The colorful paintings that were at the extremely popular retrospective in Philadelphia are now making their way to LA, and will be available for intense contemplation starting in the first week of June.
