1. Miami Wine & Food Festival April 22-24

Picture 9Ranked as one of the top ten wine events in the nation, the 15th Annual Miami Wine and Food Festival is an event for connoisseurs and simple wine fans alike. Last year’s festival boasted wines from over 60 different wineries, including Moet Hennessy USA and Napa Ridge. The three day festival features an array of culinary and wine events including fine wine tastings, champagne tastings, an interactive dinner with celebrity chef Todd English, and some of the highest quality wine lots in South Florida.

5. New Vintage Wine & Gallery Weekend April 16-17

Screen shot 2010-03-24 at 5.36.51 PMWith an abundance of activities and some of the best wine, the 18th Annual Blessing of the Vines and New Vintage Wine & Gallery Trail is the place to go for a fun and relaxing weekend. To start off, there’s the free Annual Blessing of the Vines, where hundreds of wine enthusiasts gather to take part in a centuries-old European ceremony to ensure robust vines and savory grapes.

Then there is the New Vintage Jazz Wine Train, a two-and-a-half hour ride that happens in the evenings and features several Grapevine wines, dinner, and live jazz entertainment in each passenger car. The New Vintage Art Show features more than a dozen local artists displaying watercolors, photographs, pottery, and much more.

Finally, there’s the New Vintage Wine Trail, a memorable journey that visits the many unique winery-tasting rooms of Grapevine. It’ll definitely be a jam-packed and wine-filled weekend at this event.

2. Wine & Food Paired By Experts at Boston Wine Festival 1/8/10–1/31/10

Picture 19What was your new years resolution? Hopefully it wasn’t to shed those pesky extra pounds leftover from Thanksgiving. On January 8th, Boston Harbor Hotel will be kicking off the event of the year, the annual Boston Wine Festival.

Boston hosts the nation’s longest running wine festival, now in its 21st year, and founder Chef Daniel Bruce is proud to be part of it. This year, Chef Bruce has invited some of his favorite boutique wineries to join in on the festivities. Forget the gym, and prepare to send your taste buds soaring.
