BlueManGroup
Best known for its award-winning theatrical productions which critics have described as “ground-breaking,” “hilarious,” “visually stunning” and “musically powerful.” These performances feature three enigmatic bald and blue characters who take the audience through a multi-sensory experience that combines theatre, percussive music, art, science and vaudeville into a form of entertainment that is like nothing else. Blue Man Group is a unique performance piece incorporating many different ideas, such as science, technology, noise, liquid, innocence and plumbing.

The poncho section is the first four or five rows closest to the stage. Patrons in this area are given ponchos to wear, because sometimes materials splash the audience. These substances are washable, but we suggest that you do not wear anything that needs dry cleaning.

Now Playing at the Briar Street Theatre Located at 3133 North Halsted Chicago. Blue Man Group appeals to all ages, but children under five (5) years of age are not permitted. Click here for more information.

Experience CSI at the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History!

CSI

Imagine entering a crime scene and being the one responsible for noticing and collecting every trace of evidence. The pressure is on: you know the analysis of your evidence must be scientifically sound to crack the case.

You’ve seen the hit television crime drama, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on CBS. Now you play the role of the investigator in a forensic science exhibit created in collaboration with the TV series and actors. CSI: The Experience is a completely immersive exhibit that invites you to enter “crime” scenes where you identify and record evidence. It takes you inside “laboratories” for scientific testing and to “autopsy” rooms for pathology analysis. Then it returns you to the “office” to build your case, based on the scientific evidence. The exhibit brings to life real scientific principles and the most advanced scientific techniques used today by crime scene investigators and forensic scientists.

From DNA and firearms analysis to forensic anthropology and toxicology, you’ll be immersed in hands-on science in an exciting multi-media environment with dazzling special effects direct from the CSI TV series. Cast members from the TV show welcome you into the exhibit from a large video monitor, lead you through the experience, and praise you for a job well done at the end. Visit CSI: The Experience, opening May 25 and running until September 2, 2013. Click here for more information.

Experience Southwest cuisine with an upscale twist at Stephen Pyles

Long hailed as one of the founding fathers of Southwestern cuisine, Stephen Pyles in his namesake restaurant combines culinary expertise with his down-home, west Texas roots. Stephen Pyles combines the flavors of Mexican, Tex-Mex and Creole cuisine into a category of its own with international influences and even a little molecular gastronomy thrown in for good measure. (Like with his Tamale Tart with Roast Garlic Custard, Peekytoe Crab
and Smoked Tomato Sauce or anything from the “ceviche bar.”) Located in the Dallas Arts District, Stephen Pyles offers a dining experience that is big on flavors from the world over while providing gentle reminders here and there that yes, we are still in Texas.
