Grubkit

GrubKit was founded by Max & Barb, a husband-and-wife duo with a huge passion for all things food and drink. They we’re excited to share some of their favorite recipes and ingredients with you.
Their mission is to inspire you to cook more at home and make it effortless by delivering pre-measured specialty ingredients to your door.
Their recipe kits come with just the right amount of pre-measured ingredients that are hand-selected with a focus on healthy and organic choices. No need to run around town trying to find all the different spices for your Indian curry dish or buying a quart of Thai fish sauce that you’ll only use once a year.

Each GrubKit is loaded with delicious and often hard-to-find specialty ingredients. Ingredients are sealed and pre-measured helping you prepare gourmet dishes in no time. Kits include detailed recipe cards along with a handy shopping list for fresh ingredients. We use biodegradable packing peanuts and ingredients are sealed in compostable cello bags.

Chicago Botanic Garden: A Theraputic Oasis in the Windy City

boygardenerWhen Chi-towners are in need of some fresh air, green pastures and loads of flowers, they head to the Chicago Botanic Garden. A hidden oasis just 30 minutes from downtown in Highland Park (an easy Metra ride), the garden boasts paths that allow you to peruse the place as if it were your own.

From Japanese and English gardens, isles reached by arched bridges and a tropical garden with orchids dangling from palm trees, perhaps the best feature of the Chicago Botanic Garden is its full calendar of events from educational programs to social mixers. Classes they offer range from cooking classes, gardening, kids programs, horticultural therapy and wellness programs. In a nutshell – this place is Chicago’s therapy.
