Under the instruction of Ovando’s designers, participants will get to take an inside peek into the incredible world of floral design. Each of our single-session classes will discuss varying themes and design principles, as well as some of the modern design philosophies which define Ovando’s signature style.

Sandra de Ovando has become an influential force in New York’s design milieu. Sandra discovered exotic flowers, plants and fruits that she began incorporating into her designs – there the signature style was born that today defines Ovando’s dynamic compositions and custom installations.

In 2003, Sandra opened Ovando’s West Village luxury boutique. Find foliage at North Haven Gardens

North Haven Gardens has been a plant and landscape shopping destination in Dallas for over 60 years. Whether you just need to spruce up an apartment, are looking to grow a vegetable garden or planning some serious landscaping, you can find what you need at North Haven Gardens. A friendly and supportive staff is always around to answer any questions and they offer garden coaching for those that could use a little extra help. The organic garden coaching is a particular favorite of patrons. Chicago Botanic Garden: A Theraputic Oasis in the Windy City

A hidden oasis just 30 minutes from downtown in Highland Park (an easy Metra ride), the garden boasts paths that allow you to peruse the place as if it were your own.

This year’s show is staged in the Grand Court, the same site of the legendary Wanamaker’s Flower Shows from the 1930s through the early 1970s. Center City will be transformed into a wonderland of spectacular gardens, where magic reaches to new heights and floral fantasies take flight! This year’s show will feature varieties of exotic trees, flowering plants, and brilliant color as far as the eye can see. Take a guided tour or stroll through the beautiful gardens at your own pace. And, don’t miss the hot air balloon centerpiece, that’s overflowing with beautiful flowers, making it the perfect photo-op!

3. Macy’s Spring Flower in Union Square April 1-11

Spring Is In The Air as Macy’s Union Square is transformed into a colorful, vibrant dreamscape, featuring spectacular garden environments with different varieties of exotic trees, flowering plants, and brilliant color as far as the eye can see! Take a guided tour or stroll through the enchanting gardens at your own pace. And don’t miss the gateway garden, overflowing with lush spring flowers and anchored by a massive hot air balloon centerpiece!

The U.S. Botanic Garden is Always in Bloom

Right next to bustling Capitol Hill is haven of breathtaking Picture 15flowers, roses and gardens at the U.S. Botanic Garden. Tracing its beginnings to 1816, The U.S. Botanic Garden the oldest of its kind in North America.

It is divided into three locations: the Conservatory, Bartholdi Park, and the National Garden. The newly renovated Conservatory is one big greenhouse divided into separate rooms and holds over 4,000 living species. Each room simulates a different habitat and contains various types of plants that ordinarily would not survive in Washington D.C., from desert species to Southern plants to medicinal plants.

Bartholdi Park serves as a home landscape demonstration garden and is home to a beautiful fountain that is 30 feet high. There is also the National Garden, which contains the Rose Garden and the First ladies Water Garden, as well as an outdoor amphitheater.

4. Colorado Garden and Home Show Feb. 13-21

Picture 10Over $116,000 worth of flowers, 400 tons of boulders and rocks, and 50 free educational seminars led by gardening and home improvement gurus is just some of what you’ll find at the Colorado Garden and Home Show. This prestigious show featuring 650 companies will fuel your imagination and give you confidence to implement home and garden improvements yourself.  The breathtaking garden displays will catch your eye and your nose with all their fragrances. And the best part is that about 2,000 cubic yards of recycled mulch will be used to make the gardens.
