1. Christie’s Goes Green for Earth Day Auction April 22

Picture 12Every April, we remember to celebrate the amazing planet we live on, and Christie’s celebrates the green month with a celeb-filled Green Auction. This inaugural event, in conjunction with NBC Universal, is going to be huge. Hosts include Salma Hayek, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Vera Wang, and co-chaired by members of the Rockefeller family.

Guests will be bidding on coveted artworks, like ones from Damien Hirst, and incredible experiences, like trips to Bali and Antarctica or dinner with Eli Manning, that will benefit four non-profit organizations: Central Park Conservatory, Conservation International, Natural Resources Defense Council and Oceana. For those who can’t make it to the star-studded evening event, don’t worry, as participants are encouraged to bid online, in real time, with Christie’s LIVE.

Christie’s proves that “a bid to save the earth” is definitely glamorous.

4. Great Wine at DAM Uncorked April 16-17

DAM Uncorked offers more than 350 wines from vintners around the world. There are also tasting guides and hors d’oeuvres being served during the wine tasting.

The first day of the festival is the main wine tasting, while the second day is a dinner and auction. The dinner is paired with exceptional wines, while the live and silent auctions feature travel packages, rare bottles of wine, exclusive access to private art collections, and other various items.

MIR MIA 2009

The Mission of International Rescue (MIR) will host their biggest charity event in 20 years this month. The event, sponsored by Tiffany & Co., will have a silent auction, cocktails & aperitifs, and a sneak peek fashion show from Chloe’s 2010 Spring Collection. Tiffany’s, Chloe, and a good cause- there is no reason not to attend this event.

Stars of Cabernet at the Peninsula Beverly Hills

The Stars of Cabernet lives up to its namesake, showcasing wines from elegant and outstanding wineries like Paul Hobbs, Sequoia Grove, and much more. The event is not limited to wine, with food selections from host The Peninsula Hotel and a silent auction benefiting the TJ Martell Foundation. The event is limited to 125 guests, so make sure you get your tickets in advance.

13th Annual Best Buddies Miami Gala

If you’re not in the know, a name like Best Buddies may throw you off this hot social event, but every year this gala brings more than 800 prominent local and international guests. They come to support Best Buddies International, that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, with a gourmet dinner, unique silent auction, and performance from recording star Chris Brown.
