1. Spring’s Arrived at Cherry Blossom Fest April 10-18
Music and dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, tea ceremonies, flower arranging demonstrations, a food bazaar, and a spectacular Japanese-style parade are among the many events presented at The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival.
Now celebrating its 43rd year, the Cherry Blossom Festival is one of California’s most prominent celebrations of Asian traditions. Each year, over 150,000 people attend this dazzling display showcasing the color and grace of the Japanese culture and the diversity of the Japanese American Community. All are welcome to join in the festivities and celebrate Japanese and Japanese American culture in San Francisco’s Japantown!

Spring Is In The Air as Macy’s Union Square is transformed into a colorful, vibrant dreamscape, featuring spectacular garden environments with different varieties of exotic trees, flowering plants, and brilliant color as far as the eye can see! 3. Spring Comes Early at Macy’s Flower Show April 1-11
Macy’s is already a must-see when visiting New York City, but this month there’s more of a reason to visit the iconic store. The Macy’s Flower Show, this year titled Spring Is In The Air, is invading the 8 floors of the gigantic department store. Highlights include 10 different garden environments, 30,000 different exotic trees, flowers, and plants, and a hot air balloon centerpiece. But, this is a store after all, and many of the retailers are offering discounts, promotions and specialized gardens on nearly every single floor. This is one of the most beautiful flower displays, and it’s all in the heart of Manhattan.
4. Discover Secret Gardens at VA Garden Week April 17-25
In its 77th season, the Virginia Historic Garden Week showcases more than 250 of Virginia’s most beautiful gardens, homes and historical landmarks. Three dozen tours visit some of the nation’s most beautiful properties during the peak of Virginia’s springtime color. Highlights for this year include the countryside in the Albemarle County/Charlottesville region that Thomas Jefferson called “Little Eden,” the Morven Estate Gardens and House, historic properties linked to George Washington and Robert E. Lee, a number of historic James River plantations, and Monticello.
