Perhaps the arrival of an Hermes store in Chicago means the Windy City has really made it in the fashion world. The French phenom brand is the brains behind the all-elusive Birkin bag which has a waiting list of up to two years in some cases and of course a whole slew of amazing scarves that will make anyone look instantaneously French.

The 12th annual event is held in Miami’s trendy Wynwood Art District where they will transform the Shops at Midtown into “Fashion City,” with large runways and sponsors lounges to house the fashion elite.

As the largest International and Hispanic fashion event in the US, Miami Fashion Week features Latin fashion as well as beauty, music, cuisine and art. Other international designers and entertainers hail from Spain, Italy, Australia, UAE, Pakistan, Mexico, Canada, Malaysia among others

To top off an incredible week, the Miami International Fashion Week will close with the Miami Moda & Music Awards, a celebrity fashion and entertainment awards show.  Caliente!

Get your Couture for Cheap at Second Time Around

If you lust aftPicture 11er Oscar de la Renta, but can only really afford Old Navy, then Second Time Around may be your favorite find of 2010. Second Time Around is a consignment shop near Rittenhouse Square that only sells designer merchandise (Dolce, Betsey, Versace, and the like) that is up to snuff with the shop’s high standards. The clothing must be no more than two years old, and in pristine condition, so with standards like that you are bound to find a steal at 30-70% off original prices.

This boutique gives- and receives. If you’re looking to ditch some duds for extra closet space and some weekend martini money, stop into the shop with three or more items and see if your garb is up Second’s alley.
