Expand Your Scientific Knowledge At The Franklin Institute!

Looking for something fun yet educational?

Visit The Franklin Institute, one of the oldest centers of science education and development in the United States, dating to 1824. In the spirit of inquiry and discovery embodied by Benjamin Franklin, the mission of The Franklin Institute Science Museum serves to inspire an understanding of and passion for science and technology learning. Among other exhibits, The Science Museum holds the largest collection of artifacts from the Wright brothers’ workshop.

The Institute is full of interesting and interactive exhibits, both permanent and traveling. Some of the permanenet exhibits are:
Kid Science, Space Command, The Train Factory, The Franklin Airshow, The Giant Heart and Changing Earth.

The traveling Exhibit, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, runs until April 7, 2013. This exhibit contains more than 300 legendary artifacts conserved from the ship’s debris field, offering visitors a poignant look at this iconic ship and its passengers. The 15,000 square foot exhibition takes visitors on a chronological journey through the life of Titanic, from the building of the legend to life on board.

Kai Lin Art Gallery

Kai Lin Art is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta that focuses on local, emerging artists. The gallery runs on an accelerated exhibition calendar with a new opening every eight weeks.

Our gallery includes all mediums of art from works on canvas to photography, sculptures to handcrafted pieces. The gallery is available for event rental and the state-of-the-art facility is host to many monthly community events from fundraisers and fashion shows to workshops and art classes.

Lowe Art Museum: Showcasing worldly classics

The massive 17,500-object collection on view at the Lowe Art Museum, located in the heart of the University of Miami Campus in Coral Gables, features a vast array of artworks from around the world.

They focus on the classics here and have spent decades perfecting and expanding their pieces. Renaissance and baroque paintings and sculptures, Native and Ancient American art as well as Asian works share space. And that’s only their permanent collection.

Their billed as showing 5,000 years worth of art and that’s worth checking out.

Soundscape Park: Al fresco music in heart of South Beach

The New World Symphony has a new home and fantastic outdoor space where there performances can be viewed by the general public. Soundscape Park is in the heart of South Beach, between Lincoln Road and the Convention Center and Fillmore concert venue.

The space is a welcome addition to an area that was begging for such a wonderful spot to listen to music al fresco. Aside from being a great spot to sit and read or admire the wonder that is Miami Beach, it’s best known as a spot where the general public can sit and enjoy a live performance by the New World Symphony. That’s thanks to a screen that projects the performance to the Soundscape audience. It’s the perfect spot to bring a blanket, wine and cheese picnic and catch the spectacular musicians, led by award-winning Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas.
