The Bazaar

The Bazaar also features vitrines curated by Murray Moss of Manhattan’s (and West Hollywood’s) hyper-design shop Moss, and if you see something you’ve just got to have — a fabulously expensive Nymphemburg porcelain tchotchke, a gilded piglet piggy bank, a vintage model powerboat, a fetching pair of gentleman’s shoes or, my favorite, a set of finger puppets depicting five or six notables (including Maharishi Mahesh Yogi) — why, by all means break out that platinum credit card. The rest of us will just goggle.

The Bazaar has some of the same theatricality, but it’s more accessible. And more fun. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a serious restaurant (serious in the sense that each dish is a revelation) that was as engaging and playful. Yet each dish has a kind of laser precision, especially the more contemporary ones from the Blanca side of the menu.

Ben and Jack’s

Ben and Jack, long-time waiters of Peter Luger’s Steakhouse, have opened a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Manhattan. They offer prime, dry aged porterhouse steaks and a dazzling assortment of steakhouse favorites.
This is the brainchild of a group of former Peter Luger waiters who decided to try to recreate the magic of the legendary Brooklyn restaurant in Manhattan. They have succeeded and offer some of the most delicious steaks and seafood in town. Everything is mouthwateringly good, and here you can use your credit card!

Circle Line

Circle Line is the best way to get a bird’s eye view of Manhattan. To see the giant island, take a Circle Line boat tour from West Midtown all the way around back to West Midtown. See the 27 bridges, be awed by the downtown skyline, smell the East River, watch the endless ribbon of cars whip down FDR Drive and listen to the acerbic, to-die-for quips of the dyed-in-the-wool New York tour guides.
