Ben and Jack, long-time waiters of Peter Luger’s Steakhouse, have opened a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Manhattan. They offer prime, dry aged porterhouse steaks and a dazzling assortment of steakhouse favorites.
This is the brainchild of a group of former Peter Luger waiters who decided to try to recreate the magic of the legendary Brooklyn restaurant in Manhattan. They have succeeded and offer some of the most delicious steaks and seafood in town. Everything is mouthwateringly good, and here you can use your credit card!
Ocean Prime is the culmination of a creative exercise we started in 2006 to define the best in culinary, beverage, service and atmosphere. Their team wanted to pair a great steakhouse with a great seafood restaurant. We imagined a place where our guests are greeted by name and partner with us in adventures of great food, wine and libation.
Ocean Prime was not developed overnight. Their executive chef teams traveled, tasted and compared notes to refine a menu that would ignite curiosity and surpass expectations. Their operations teams sourced the finest and the freshest ingredients to elevate every plate that leaves our kitchen. They curated a Wine Spectator-honored wine list for perfect pairings. And they poured energy with a fresh twist into the creation of our signature cocktails, expertly prepared by our well-trained bar chefs.
Diners will find a familiar steakhouse ambience along with the trademark caricatures of local notables and celebrities lining the walls. The food runs to outsize portions of USDA Prime steaks and lobster, cracked table side by your server, along with straightforward salads and sides such as the Half & Half, cottage fries and fried onions. A range of chops, fish (broiled, blackened, sautéed or peppercorn-crusted) and Italian dishes is on hand for those looking for an alternative to the beef. This is all complemented by a standout New York cheesecake and a notable wine list trumpeting familiar labels.
The Capital Grille. Known for delicious dry aged steaks, chops and fresh seafood. An award-winning wine list. A relaxed, elegant atmosphere. And, to top it all off, it’s in the Trylon Towers of the exquisite Chrysler Center. Rich African mahogany paneling and warm lighting from one-of-a-kind art deco chandeliers set the tone for a comfortably elegant evening (unless it’s a lively, social atmosphere you seek, in which case our sophisticated bar might be your destination). Their impressive menu of nationally renowned dry aged steaks and the freshest of seafood will ignite your culinary imagination as our award-winning wine list of more than 5,000 bottles awakens your inner sommelier.

When you order a cut of beef at most steakhouses, the server just asks, “baked potato or mashed?” but when the server at Barclay Prime also gives you a selection of German and Japanese knives in order to cut your prime beef, you know you’re getting a unique and glamorous twist on the traditional steakhouse.
Set inside the chic 1929 Barclay building in Rittenhouse Square, this new Stephen Starr masterpiece is as aged and rich as the top quality NY strip being served. Before diving in to your meal, have a martini- Mad Men style- in the mahogany, 1960’s boutique-inspired bar. After, indulge with traditional steakhouse favorites, from every cut of beef imaginable to decadent a la carte sides such as truffle mac & cheese. Yummy seafood is offered for the less carnivorous ones, along with some contemporary American treats- the Kobe Beef Sliders being a favorite. If indulgence and luxury is what you’re seeking for the evening, you will find this posh spot completely worth the trip!
With its start as a reputable New York institution, it’s no wonder that Bobby Van’s had to spread the love. This long-loved classic steakhouse has made its mark on the high-end American dining circuit, serving some serious power diners throughout the years, and now with two locations in DC, there’s no reason to miss out on this celebrity favorite. Let’s just say the steaks are so good, President Obama even celebrated his first day in office with a meal at this exclusive downtown favorite.
Outfitted in rich wood paneling with appropriately masculine accents, Bobby Van’s simple design and crisp white tablecloths allow the food to steal the spotlight. Start off with a refreshing Raw Bar Selection or a decadent taste or two of the traditional Escargot, prepared with butter, lemon, pernod, garlic and fresh herbs .
Select from a variety of hearty cuts of prime beef, from which Bobby Van’s gets its claim to fame. Pair your luscious cut with a few family-style sides like the Creamed Spinach, Cottage Fries or Prosciutto Mac & Cheese. For those looking for a beef alternative, indulge in the Colorado Lamb Chops or the Sesame Crusted Tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes, pickled ginger and Miso vinaigrette. Whatever you choose, be prepared to spend –after all, there’s a reason why the President himself decided to celebrate with a Bobby Van’s meal.

When Abe & Louie’s emerged on the dining scene a little more than 10 years ago, no one could have anticipated the fanfare that would surround this popular steakhouse. Voted Best Steakhouse by Boston Magazine in 2004, 2005 and 2009, Abe & Louie’s is now a symbol of excellence.
Located across from the Prudential Center in Copley Square, this classic restaurant consistently delivers exceptional service and mouthwatering steaks with attention to detail. The Hollywood-style booths in the dining room have attracted numerous celebrities including Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who celebrated their anniversary here just last month.
All of the steaks are aged six weeks on the bone to ensure the most flavor. While the 24-ounce ribeye and bone-in filet are their signature cuts, classic entrees also include swordfish steak, wood grilled or broiled salmon filet, boiled or baked stuffed Maine lobster, whole chicken and lobster casserole. The ever-changing roster of weekly specials displays such offerings as filet of beef Wellington, Abe’s famous crispy pork and steak house beef ribs.
If you dine at Abe & Louie’s in the warmer months, be sure to request a seat on the patio for al fresco dining and people watching along one of Boston’s busiest streets. Visit abeandlouies.com for more information.
