Arkadia: Fontainebleau’s latest club

Hip hop superstar Drake christened the place, throwing himself a smokin’ hot birthday party and the next night at the Preview Party the likes of New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, Miami Heat’s LeBron James, actor Edward Norton and model Elle McPherson were present. Seems like Arkadia, billed as an ultra-lounge and pool concept at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau Hilton, is the newest celeb and beautiful people haunt.

DJ Ross spins the tunes from a booth covered in laser-cut gold mirrors (the ceiling and bars are covered in these too), while clubgoers sip cocktails, champagne and other libations from one of 25 tables and a handful of cushy, overstuffed, tufted sofas. Looks like the gem of an Art Deco hotel has hit nightclub gold again with another high-end installation. Arkadia is sure to be the spot for fashion shows and hot parties.

Arkadia is located inside the Fontainebleau Hilton Hotel, 4441 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL

NV Penthouse Lounge: Don’t Be Jealous

e15296image1OK so we admit, NV Penthouse Lounge has a point: we’re envious. Who wouldn’t be of their 600 square foot terrace on the penthouse floor over looking the entire city of Chicago? Thankfully this place is open to the public so we can all go in and soak up the scene and pretend just for a night, that we own the place.

The green light emanating from this sexy club (if you ever get yourself off the terrace to actually spend time in it) is probably a play on being green with jealousy, we get it. But just check it at the door so there’s no hating and you can dance amongst all the beautiful people without stirring up too much trouble. This place is one to see and be seen but do it with love people.

Chic Club Fun at Vango

As the warmer months are fast approaching, everyone starts talking about Vango and its uber-sexy Skybar roof deck lounge. Vango offers several different atmospheres throughout the club and lounge. If you’re in for a night of high-rolling and sophisticated fun, oPicture 16rder the bottle service and receive top-notch attention in the reserved area. Vango is more than just a club and killer roof deck (although with 8,000 square feet, it’s a whole lot of club), it also offers an enviable menu. The styles of chef Michael Fee (from Nobu) and owner Dia Sawan (from the family who gave us Philadelphia’s Mediterranean gems Byblos and Fez) meld Japanese and Mediterranean classics wonderfully; there aren’t many places you can begin with hummus for an appetizer, eat a main course of yellowtail jalapeño and spider rolls, then finish off with an order of baklava.

The Standard Sets It Very, Very High

Whether you are poolside or cozying up in The Purple Lounge, nothing is standard at The Standard. It only takes one step into the lobby to realize that you are at one of the swankiest hotels in Los Angeles. Filled with modern furniture and a staff that looks like they were castPicture 17 from Ford Models, The Standard upholds its reputation of combining trendy elegance with a retro chic vibe.

If you are a lucky patron of the hotel, make sure your room has views to match its interior. Placed on Sunset Boulevard, views overlooking Hollywood are as worthy as the price you are paying for it.

For those just looking for a night out on the town, this is probably the only hotel you will ever see where the lobby gets as much action as a Las Vegas Casino. If you venture further into the 24/7 restaurant, you can find yourself in a club-like experience with flashing neon lights and select DJs.

Though the rooms and lobby are equally as amazing, nothing truly beats being poolside at The Standard. While sipping cocktails in the sun, don’t be surprised to run into celebrities who also ventured out to frolic under the shades of this fabulous pool.

Overall, the Standard can please any need, from the clubber to the sunbather. If you are looking for an over-the-top experience, you might as well go Standard.
